The Search for the Ultimate Cache Scavenger Hunt! Rules, Prizes, and More Leading up to My Novel’s Debut!

Available January 30th

Only four more weeks until the release of my debut novel, The Quest for the Holy Something or Other, and since the majority of the story centers around the search for the “Ultimate Cache,” I thought it might be fun to host a sort of scavenger hunt right here on my blog!

On Friday, January 9th I’m going to officially open the scavenger hunt to anyone who wants to participate. All “hidden items” should be inserted by then;)

Knight Peice

“Hidden item”

Between January 9th and January 30th (the day of the release), participants can search my past blog posts to find the “hidden items” that will help them answer 4 questions pertaining to the author and the book.

One question will be posted every Friday leading up to, as well as on the release date: So be looking for a new question on January 9, 16, 23, 30. (Hint: posts usually come out between 9 and 10am). Don’t worry. If you miss one, there will be links to get you back on track:)

On January 30th, participants should submit their answers to all four questions to I will note the time the message was received. The first 5 people to submit their answers to all 4 questions wins a prize!

One lucky winner gets a signed copy of my debut novel! Could it be you?

1rst place: A $10 Amazon gift card and a free copy of my ebook

2nd place: A $5 Amazon gift card and a free copy of my ebook

3rd place: A $5 Amazon gift card which you can use to buy my ebook **cough, cough**

4th place: A free copy of my ebook

5th place: A free copy of my ebook

The winners of the contest will be announced at noon on Friday January 30th and prizes will be distributed within one-two weeks. Plus, factor in time for shipping and handling, of course.

  • Don’t answer questions in the comments. That will ruin the game.
  • Don’t email me individual answers each week. I wont consider them if you do. Sorry.
  • Don’t be a sore loser. This is just for fun. I’m sure I’ll host another contest again soon.
  • Don’t give up!
  • Do have fun! That’s the point of these things, isn’t it?

And may the odds be ever in your favor;)

Any questions? Post them in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer them as soon as possible.

One more thing. Please help spread the word! Games are always more fun with more players!

Happy hunting! And good luck on your quest!

    • It’s been surprisingly easy. Basically, I went back through the posts and looked for information I wanted to share. On the date of, I’ll add the image of the knight piece next to it. This way, participants will have to read to figure out the answer, but I made it pretty easy.

This is the first scavenger hunt I’ve done. Looking forward to it. I think it’ll be fun. You are welcome to play, of course. The only person who can’t is my sister.

      I appreciate your sharing:)

What better way to celebrate the debut of “The Quest for the Holy Something or Other” than with a search of our own. Like knights searching for the Holy Grail, join your fellow bloggers in a quest to win prizes and have fun. See details and contest rules.
